Thank you for your patience as we unexpectedly transitioned to remote rehearsals amid this unprecedented pandemic. Like many, we, too, were able to find a way to continue our work with the Choristers. To those who have been affected by COVID-19 in some way, know that we are thinking of you.
You might be asking yourself, what will the fall season look like for the Worcester Children’s Chorus (WCC)? That’s a good question and one that a small group of WCC board members and parents have been preparing for in recent weeks.
Our plan – and hope – is to resume normal rehearsals, with the children together, if safe to do so. It is important to note that our decision will be guided by recommendations from the state and health officials. If we cannot meet each week in person as a group, there are a number of contingency plans in development that will ensure your son or daughter continues to receive the expert-level vocal training you have come to expect from the WCC. We know you are committed to your child’s success and we are, too.
We are exploring and developing several components including:
- Weekly rehearsals (either in person or remotely).
- Leveled instruction in sight-singing and music theory
- Personalized individual vocal instruction every other week
Choristers will have the opportunity to engage in a number of dynamic programs at the same cost as this year’s registration fee.
Thank you once again for your patience and continued support of the WCC. We look forward to celebrating the accomplishments of the Choristers over the summer as we prepare for another engaging and exciting season to commence in the fall.
