WORCESTER, Massachusetts – The Worcester Children’s Chorus today publically thanked the Worcester-based Fred Harris Daniels Foundations for a $2,000 grant awarded to the Chorus for unrestricted use toward our program and operating costs.
“On behalf of the children, their families and the leadership of the Worcester Children’s Chorus, we are grateful to the Fred Harris Daniels Foundation for their generous grant and recognizing the value of the Chorus to the Worcester community,” said Phillip Montgomery, WCC Board President. “This grant provides critical financial resources for the growth of the organization and for the ability to continue providing scholarships to the program.
According to the Fred Daniels Harris Foundation website, they are a family foundation supporting sustainable, creative solutions to Worcester’s most pressing social challenges by funding programs that help people become more self-reliant in their lives and communities. The Foundation provides grants to the Worcester, MA service area in the form of program and operating grants, strategic grants focusing on girls ages 10-14, and capital grants.
